Lewiston Trip 2010

Over memorial day weekend, Tommy, Brady, and I took a road trip to Lewiston, ID to visit my sister Leisha and her husband Zach. We've had the trip planned since December, so we were anticipating the trip for a long time!
We left on Wednesday afternoon, and drove 8 hours to Bend, OR, where we stayed the night at a fun little resort called Riverhouse Inn. We enjoyed a nice dinner after the long drive at the restaurant at the hotel. On Thursday, we had a slow morning, and Tommy got to take Brady to their golf course and chip and put. All to get ready for the golf tournament Zach and he played in. And I got to do some much needed shopping. Which was so nice to have 2 whole hours all to my self to be able to shop. We hit the road after I was done shopping. We drove for 7 hours and finally made it to Lewiston, ID. We were so so thankful for Brady being a fantastic little traveler. No screaming. No crying. No yelling. Just pure repetitiveness. "I want to walk" or "I want to get out". I'll take repetitiveness over crying any day.
We ate at all of Leisha and Zach's favorite restaurants: El Sombrero, Ballpark pizza, Main street grill, Moscow coop, El Sombrero again, Tomato Brothers, Waffles and More, and of course at the NAIA World Series. Funny how food can be one of the highlights of a trip:) Tommy and Zach played in their first golf tournament together. The tournament started on Saturday and went through Monday. They did pretty well and placed 4th! They were SO excited. To say the least.
Leisha, Brady, and I got to enjoy hanging out a lot. We enjoyed park time, taking Brady to the pet store, shopping, Lewis-Clark baseball games, and of course nap time:) On Friday, Tommy took Brady fishing for the first time. And according to Tommy, Brady sat STILL on a rock for 30 minutes and waited for a fish. Their patience paid off and they caught a fish! I was so bummed that I didn't get a picture of the fish, since Leisha and I left to go run errands. But Mr. Brady was so so excited and I really think he understood. He is still talking about it. "I caught a fishie in the river!" So cute.
We had a great time being with Zach and Leisha in the little town of Lewiston:) We hope to make it a once a year tradition!
