The life of the pluggie....

has come to an end.

We decided that it was time for Brady to give up his beloved pluggie(I don't know how it got that name but it's the name that's stuck). He only used it for nap time and bed time, but he was growing quite fond of the little plastic and rubber thing. We didn't want him to get any more attached, so we snipped the tip! I was very nervous about how this was going to turn out. I pictured sleepless nights, no nap times, and my quiet time officially over. However the little man proved us wrong. He did great. We very gently explained to him that his pluggie was broken. So we would give it to him "broken". He didn't even like to put it in his mouth! I was shocked. He continues to remind us that it is "broken", and on the first night when he had it he said to me, "pluggie broken. Mommy fix it?" Sorry buddy.
Anyways, it's been a pleasant transition without his little soother. And we are VERY thankful for that.
I found some old pictures of Brady with his pluggie. Here they are...just to remember the beloved pluggie:)

I love this picture. A great reminder of our life in San Francisco. We resorted to the pluggie often for our sanity in restaurants. As well as the bjorn. :)

And of course on airplanes. Especially at 6 in the morning.

And for our sanity again. On family road trips.

Brady's Gymnastics

Thursdays are great days in our house. In the morning, I take Brady to "Brady's Gym". And after Gym, Brady gets to spend the whole day with Papa at "Papa's house", which is definitely the highlight of his week.
He loves gym. A lot. And is so excited when I tell him we are going there. We've been going for several months now, but today I decided to take my camera and get some pictures of the little man in action. At the end of class, they do "superstar", where each child is called up to the mat and everyone claps for them, and the teacher says each child's name and that they are a superstar. My son might just live for this. He LOVES IT. So I thought I would record his priceless expression when he goes up on the mat. Of course, I pressed the wrong button to record. So that will have to be next time. But here are some pictures of our morning.

It's neat to watch his progress on the course. He used to not be able to walk across the beam and now he can without holding on. Although, I think he prefers to hold on.

LOVES the trampoline. He's becoming quite the jumper.

Of course. Always playing with the balls.

He likes to throw the beanbags in the "hoop".

Summersault time! Good job baby

Oh so proud of himself:)

Happy 2nd Birthday Brady!

We really can't believe that 2 years have passed since Brady was born. It went by so. fast. It has been a great 2 years and we are SOO thankful for such a fun, energetic, enthusiastic, talkative, tantrum throwing 2 year old! Every day (no exaggeration) when Tommy gets home from work, I have a story of something funny or silly Brady did or said. He is always keeping us on our toes and is now, most of the time, our source of entertainment.
We had a great weekend celebrating our sweet boy. My mom and dad came up from Fresno on Saturday and we had a family barbecue at Tommys' parent's house. It was a fun, simple way to celebrate. We were blessed with 75 degree weather all weekend, so it was great to be outside and enjoy time with family. Brady's actual birthday was on Sunday. My mom and dad stayed with us, so we woke and had a great birthday breakfast, and Tommy set up the slide we got Brady. He played on it all morning till we left for church. After nap time we enjoyed some time with friends at the park and then dinner at our house. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores with Tommys parents.
Such a fun, perfect weekend. And each time we would say, "Happy Birthday Brady!!!", he would reply with, "Happy Birthday Brady!!". Maybe next year he'll get it;)

Brady, his cousin Beau, and Tommy fishing in Papa's pond. What a haven for the little man.

Lovin the tree house.

These two are so sweet together. Addie, or "Yaya" as Brady calls her.

Getting a little baseball lesson from Beau.

Ooh I just love him.

2 of the greatest Papas. So thankful for them.

Brady being silly with Mimi and Papa.

Auntie Kristi, my niece Jayden, and Brady.

My good friend Jamie. Although we were missing our current cheese addiction:)

Very thankful for our families.

Ready set...throw!!!

Present time! Brady was so blessed to get some really fun gifts.

His favorite included his very own lawn mower. He just loves it.

ANd a new John Deer tractor.

Happy Birthday to you...

My very own cupcake?????

No shame.

At all.

This was a gift from mommy and daddy. We set it up the morning of his birthday.

Brady boy...
~We love that you love people. You will say hi to just about any person we pass in the grocery store, say thank you to the check out lady, and SCREAM bye as we walk out of the store.
~We love your serious enthusiasm for just about everything and just life in general. I'm told you're a lot like your daddy was as a toddler.
~We love the way you love to learn. You LOVE books. And you like to show off by telling us the color of every object you see..."That's a yellow one" "Big green slide"
~We love your sensitive side. Anytime another kid is crying you will always say, "Baby sad...kisses?"
~We love that you are a typical 2 year old. And will just lay on the floor at the store if you don't want to get in the cart. And then start screaming. While everyone is looking at us. And then mommy has to carry your limp body to the car.
~ We love that you are so active. You love love to be outside doing just about anything. You love to play EVERY sport with daddy, and if you ever get hurt you come running to mommy and ask me to kiss it for you.
~ We love that every time we pray you say very boldly and loudly, "AMEN". You even say it just like that in church.
~ We love you just the way God made you. And are so so so so thankful for you and can not imagine our life without you.

4 Months

Well, for keepsake purposes, I will post updates on my pregnancy with baby #2. It's certainly not my favorite thing to look at pictures of myself pregnant, but I am so glad I had so many pictures from my pregnancy with Brady. Fun to look back on.
I have hit the 4 month mark. I am feeling great. Most definitely have my appetite back. Joined our local health club here in Ukiah and really love it. I have already felt so much better since working out this week. The club has a kids club, so I can just drop Brady off while I work out. And he actually likes it. It's a great thing. Next month, Tommy is going to join as well and we plan on taking up swimming together. I'm looking forward to it.
Just this past week, I have started feeling little butterfly-like kicks from the sweet baby inside of me. I just love that feeling. It never gets old.
And if you know me at all, I just might be the most curious person ever. SO, letting go of that curiosity we have decided to wait until the baby is born to find out the gender. A little crazy I know. I was inspired by a REALLY cute gender neutral nursery and thought it would be fun to be surprised. So now we GREATLY anticipate September 21st.

Here I am at 4 months.

Easter 2010

Regardless of the 49*, raining nonstop, frigid weather, we had a great Easter. We went to church in the morning, came home to grab the veggie platter, and headed up to Jay and Kristi's house, Tommy's brother, to be with family. We had great appetizers right when we got there. I was stuffed from my manchego cheese and cracker overload, as well as the yummy chips and guacamole. Everything was delicious. However, this pregnant lady can now eat just about anything at anytime. Which is why we just joined the health club here:) Anyways, after a great dinner the kids played in the garage while the adults hid all the (300+) eggs in the house. Brady throughly enjoyed the Easter egg hunt, clearly as hours as it was over he kept saying "Find 'em"! I think he enjoyed finding the eggs more then discovering what was inside of them, which made dentist daddy happy;) What a great Easter being with family! We are so blessed.

So, i've almost given up on doing "planned photo shoots" with Brady. Couldn't get one normal smile.

This was the most normal one I got, and he's not even smiling.

One, two, three...go find the eggs!!!

Love these two. Tommy's son with my coloring??? What do you think? ;)

Brady's special big egg filled with yummy candy (that mommy got to enjoy ;)

We tried again once we got home to get a good picture and ended up getting a few.

Happy Easter!!!
