4 Years

On June 24 Tommy and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary! We have always wanted to take a "true vacation", meaning just the two of us...so we thought our anniversary would be the perfect time. Especially before baby #2 enters the world.
There was a new dentist ADA conference in San Diego held on our anniversary weekend. We thought that would be the perfect place. The conference was Thursday-Saturday, and we were in San Diego Wednesday night through Sunday morning. Tommy's parents were SO great and watched Brady the entire time we were gone. It was very comforting leaving him with them.
We hoped on an hour and 10 minute flight to San Diego. And arrived at a gorgeous resort and spa called Catamaran. Really, the grounds of the resort looked like Hawaii. Palm trees everywhere, big ponds, bright flowers, coy fish, tiki torches, waterfalls, and much more. It was beautiful. It was a little weird not to have to rush back to the room to put Brady down for bed or set our alarm to wake up at 7:30. We even slept in till 9:00 one morning! I can not remember the last time I did that.
On Thursday night we enjoyed a fantastic dinner for our anniversary at a restaurant in downtown San Diego called OceanAire. It was SO.GOOD. Probably one of the top 5 restaurants we have ever eaten at. They changed their menu everyday according to the fresh fish they receive from all over the world. Everything was to die for. I left the restaurant wondering if there was still room in my tummy for the baby;)
And while Tommy was in conferences during the day, I got to enjoy laying out by the pool and the beach. It was so relaxing.
On Friday night, the ADA put on a Luau at the resort. It was fun to meet other new dentists and their wives. The food was very good, and similar to the food at Luau's in Hawaii. Fun night.
We enjoyed our time together so much.
On Sunday, we were so excited to come home to Brady. Not seeing him for 4 full days, it seems like he is talking like a 5 year old and grew an inch...but still the same sweet boy. We missed him so much. And are so thankful he was in such good hands! Thanks Nana and Papa!!!

Lauren's Bachelorette Party

This past weekend, I was able to go to my cousin bachelorette party in Santa Rosa, which is only an hour south of Ukiah. Lauren is getting married on July 10th and we can't wait! And we are so excited Brady gets to be the ring-bearer in the wedding. So fun.
My sister Leisha was able to fly down for the bachelorette party, since she is in the wedding. I can honestly say I have never eaten so much food in my entire life. But with great company and an amazing home with an amazing view made it so easy!!

Me, Leisha, Lauren, and Leah. All cousins. 2 sets of sisters. Can you tell???? :)

Jay's 40th Birthday at the Giants Game

Tommy's oldest brother, Jay, turned 40 this past week. So to celebrate, they rented the Virgin America suite at the Giants stadium. I didn't know anything about this suite until I got there. It is in right field, at field level, holds up to 40 people, and is so so beautiful. It was such a fun night. So much yummy food. Great baseball. Room for Brady to run around. And he actually enjoyed watching some of the baseball. We had a blast.

Of course my boys brought their gloves.

Watching a little batting practice before the game. And our view from the suite.

Just one of the 8 tables of food. Every thing was SO SO good.

Seriously, he was so excited.

The birthday boy Jay and his son Beau.

Brady enjoying cracking peanuts with Papa.

Really in awe of everything. Especially the big screen.

Another little boy, Taylor, took over for Tommy and played catch with Brady.

Whenever we tell Brady we are going to take a picture, he usually presses his face either against mine or Tommy's. Funny kid. Fun night.

Happy 40th Birthday Jay! We love you!!

A Week in Fresno...

Last Saturday, Brady and I headed to Fresno for the week. Our main reason for going was for Brady's swim lessons. And of course being with my family was an added bonus:) Brady took swim lessons everyday for 30 minutes, from the lady who gave me swim lessons. Makes me feel slightly old. But she is great with kids and teaching lessons. Her name is Ann Buchanan. Brady talked about going to "Ann's house" every night before bed. He would remember everything they did in the pool and talk about it each night. He would talk about how he "made a big splash" and how he "got the rings and the sharks", and how he had to "practice". It was all very exciting for him. The first day there was a lot of crying. The days after he did great. And by the last day, I'm pretty sure he could have been in the pool all day. And of course getting a sucker at the end was a highlight. I was so proud of him.

First day of swim lessons.

He loved to organize the toys by colors.

And splashing Ann. She said she needed a nap after giving lessons to Brady. Welcome to my life

Going all the way to the bottom to get the rings...

The last day with Ann.

So excited for the sucker.

And then we practiced at home. With Uncle Col-Col.

And had a lot of fun with Col-Col.

And then on Tuesday night, my little sister Kaelyn got engaged to Dominick! I didn't know it was going to happen while I was there. So it was a fun surprise to find out! Congrats guys!!

And on Wednesday, I got in a car accident. A 20 year old ran a red light and smashed into me, On my side but didn't hit my door, thank God. He just got the front tire forward. Not fun. At all. I got pictures but they are on my phone. Don't really want to remember the accident. I was fine and so were the people in the other car. I did go to the hospital, though, just to make sure everything was alright with the baby. And thankfully, everything was normal. I just had a couple burns on my arm from the air bag.

And daddy came on Friday to see Brady's last swim lesson. He was oh so happy to see him. So was I:) A week is a long time to be a single parent! And Tommy even painted Brady's new room while were gone! Such a fun surprise!!!

Enjoying a little park time with Mimi.

And on Saturday, my god parent's daughter and my friend, Haylee, got married in Acampo. It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding held at a spectacular winery called Villagio. Really, we felt like we were in Italy. Here is Brady with his source of entertainment...an apple.

The beautiful bride, Haylee, and here dad, Dave. About to walk down the aisle.

After the ceremony, Brady and Colin playing in the water fountain. This made for a great mess.

The whole clan.

This might be my favorite picture of my dad and Brady.

Mimi and Brady.

It took...

a couple tries to get a family picture...

but we got one:)

Airport Day

Last weekend, we went to Ukiah's Airport Day, held at the little airport here in Ukiah. There were lots of airplanes, helicopters and fire engines that the public was allowed to see up close. So, since Brady is seriously fascinated with any kind of transportation, we thought he would enjoy seeing everything at the airport. And we were right. He was so. excited. And I was there but just decided to be the photographer:)

All in the words of Brady...

"Lets go see the BIG airplanes!!"

"That's a BIG kilohopter"

"Hi Mom!"

"There's a airplane up in the sky"

"That's a BIG star!"

"And that one's for fires..."

Fun family day.
