It's that time of year, when the water at the river gets let out and is very shallow. Which translates to the perfect kiddie pool. So being that some days have been in the upper 90*s , we've enjoyed some fun river time.

Celebrating Kinley
We had a fun few days celebrating Kinley's 2nd birthday. On her actual birthday, tommy went to work a little late, so we had a fun family morning playing at home. Then we went to get donuts...kinley picked a pink sprinkled donut:) Love her girlie ness! The rest of the day was spent running errands and Brady's soccer practice:) We had a family birthday party, with my family, at our house a few days later. We had a blast eating yummy barbecue, opening gifts, and eating cake and celebrating our sweet 2 year old!

Kinley is 2!!!
Yesterday we celebrated Kinley's 2nd birthday! She is the most fun, loving, sweetest little girl. Her personality has really started to come out over the past couple of months. I love the way she talks, the words she uses, and the way her and Brady talk to each other.
Here are some fun facts about her at 2 years old:
If you ask her to do something, or not to do something, 99% of the time she'll respond by saying "ok, mommy" or "ok daddy".
She loves to do whatever Brady is doing.
She loves gum. And is actually pretty trustworthy with it in her mouth.
She can EAT. You wouldn't know it by her itty bitty body.
She loves to sing Jesus loves me, and I love you Lord.
She LOVES animals. But doesn't love to touch them.
Her favorite book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear.
She has daddy wrapped around her cute little finger.
She loves to cuddle.
She asks to take her vitamins everyday. Actually, begs for them.
Here are some fun pictures of her over the past 2 years :)

Little Buddies
These two little boys have become quite the little buddies. And they have no problem playing HARD together. We are so thankful for Carter and his family.
The other night, Tommy and Ryan took Brady and Carter dove hunting. This is what they looked like when they came back home...

Brady's First Soccer Game
Brady has had soccer practice every thursday the past couple weeks. It's been fun watching him go from knowing nothing about soccer, to actually understanding what to do. And it doesn't get much cuter then a bunch of 4 year olds playing soccer!
This past Saturday he had his first game. Tommy's parents were here, as well as my niece, and my sister. Brady loved having his little fan club there to watch :) He did great and he loves his team, the Red Rockets!

Goodbye Training Wheels
Last weekend, Brady decided that he didn't want to have the training wheels on his bike. So he asked Tommy to take them off. We dressed him in full gear, expecting a ton of falls which would lead to a ton of scrapes. Much to our surprise, he got on his bike and started riding it like he has been riding it for years. He was so excited and has been riding it everyday since. :)

End of August
The evenings here lately have been so nice! Warm but not hot. And a cool little breeze. Which makes for fun time with the kids outside. We have enjoyed having our backyard finished with grass and completely fenced in. Here are a few fun pictures of the last days in August.

The only thing we haven't finished are the little planter bed's in our backyard. And a few of them had some weeds. All on his own, Brady started pulling all the weeds. And now they're gone! :)
There have also been some cooler mornings, so we've had fun adventures at the park.

And we got our trampoline set up. The kids have been playing so great on it together.

Thomas Barrington, D.D.S.
What a whirlwind! Tommy's (our) dental practice is finally open! And he's finally seeing patients! We have been so thankful for the response of the people here, and their excitement to come see Tommy. With lots of prayer, word of mouth, and Tommy simply being such a great dentist, things are going great.
I know he is so excited to take care of the people here in the central valley. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. We are thankful for the Lord's provision, and his promise to provide all that we need.
