Firehouse Fun

A few days ago, I met some girlfriends and their boys at a local firehouse. The firemen were SO nice to us and the kids. Brady was star struck. To him, it was like meeting someone famous. And he loved the firetruck, of course, and being the driver. The men put on their fire suits and taught the boys not to be scared if they ever saw them dressed that way. They turned the lights on along with the softer siren. The boys were in heaven. It was a fun morning.

Fun Weekend

We had a fun family weekend, this past weekend. Some friends of ours invited us to the circus on Saturday. It was downtown, at the UT arena. It was a blast. And I don't think I am ever going to get sick of going into downtown Austin. I LOVE it!

Brady loved the circus. His favorite part was the family of 7 who rode on motorcycles in the metal ball. It made the $12.00 cotton candy worth it ;)

And on Sunday, we went to a fairly new splash pad here in Cedar Park called Quarry Splash Pad. Amazing. Really beautiful and really fun for kids of all ages. And if there is one thing here, that there is not a shortage of, it's splash parks. They are everywhere. So fun.

Life in Austin Update

We've now been here a little over 3 weeks. Time has absolutely flown by. Between trying to find all new furniture for our house, then assembling it all, unpacking boxes, meeting a ton of new fabulous people, finding out there are great things for kids here, enjoying a quick family visit, and everything else, we have been busy. But good busy. Tommy is enjoying his job. Learning a ton. And working hard. We have enjoyed meeting new people from our church, Hill Country Bible Church. We have joined a "mega" gym, called Lifetime Fitness. Which has been seriously amazing.

And if you ever visit Austin, number one you better call us:) number 2 you must go to Sno Beach for their snow cones.

SO GOOD!!!!!! Their ice really is like snow and they make all their own syrups. And you can add cream. Or make fun combos, ie, I ordered sour apple with carmel on top. mmmmmm.........

My parents stayed at a hotel right in downtown on the lake. So pretty and so fun.

And we've enjoyed MANY HOT HOT days getting ready to go to the pool...
