Tommy's Hobby & Brady's Haven

A couple things I have learned to appreciate since living here in Ukiah is the clean air and the natural beauty. The other night I got to enter Tommy and Brady's world for an hour at the golf course here in Ukiah. We live in town, about a 3 minute walk to the golf course. Tommy usually takes Brady after dinner for about an hour. They have been doing this for quite a while, so I thought it was about time for me to go and see why Brady talks about the golf course every day..and snap a few pictures. :)

My boys:)

Brady watching daddy very intently. After Tommy hit the ball, Brady said "That was a nice swing daddy:)"

Beautiful course.

Little ham. Loving the freedom of running around the course.

Brady likes to move the flag with daddy and watch it crash.

The sprinklers came on and Tommy let him run through them. This was after. :)

Rockin the Minivan...

Well, I never ever thought I would drive a mini van. Ever. Yes, I judged them without ever driving one, let alone drive one with kids. And let me tell you...it is fantastic! We have been searching for the "perfect" mini van ever since we found out we were going to become a family of 4. Every mom who has one that I know highly recommended them to me. So, I thought I would give them a chance.
So, we came across a Honda Odyssey that really was the "perfect" find for our family. We LOVE it. I never realized how difficult climbing in and out of an SUV to buckle Brady, pregnant especially, was until we bought the van. Wow. And my pregnant belly is thanking me:)
Anyways, we are so thankful to have found the van we did.
So yes, we now rock the mini van. Happily. :)

Mt. Hermon 2010

This past week we were blessed to spend the week at Mt. Hermon family camp, in Santa Cruz. It has been a tradition in Tommy's family for many years. This year, a lot of Tommy's extended family came as well. Tommy's three cousins Cara, Kelsey, and Courtney and all their kids made it really fun, a little crazy at times;), but really fun. It was a week of a lot of hill walking(which made it a little interesting for me), pool time, ropes course, a train ride through the redwoods to the boardwalk, hiking up to pancake ridge for a pancake breakfast, a nice break for the moms: 3 hours of child care, (more like preschool) in the morning, and 2 hours at night...ahhhh!, good ice cream at the fountain, and lots of laughs. Fun times.

Brady boy and Elaina. First night. Carnival night on the field.

LOVES the bounce-house. Will continue to jump on the ground after..

Brady, Tommy, and Uncle Robbie.

It was hot. He takes after his dad and likes to take his shirt off.

Kelsey playing ring around the rosie with the kiddos.

Passing some time by throwing the rocks in the creek.

Tommy, Brady, Elaina, and Rob.

On the train. Headed to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk.

We love Kelsey.

In awe that you could see the rides at the boardwalk and the ocean at the same time.

Brady and Halle on the airplane ride. Loving life.

Brady on the whale, or the "shark ride" as Brady liked to call it.

Boat ride with the cousins.

"Hands up"!!!

Gotta love the carousel ride.

We had a dance party with all the kids. At 9:30 at night. A little crazy? Yes. but really fun.

All the kids. Beginning to lose it.

Much better. They were all a little happier:)

The whole group. Minus Tommy's parents who left the day before. So fun.

After leaving Mt. Hermon, my parents were in Capitola so we had lunch and spent the day with them:)
And the pretty much concludes our crazy crazy summer of traveling. At least for this pregnant lady. Restless leg, Braxton Hicks, swollen feet are plenty of reasons for me to stay put. 7 more weeks at the most till we meet our new addition. Cant wait.
