2,000 miles...

And we are finally home.
After Tommy graduated, he submitted all of his paperwork to get his license, which takes about 3 weeks to process. So...we took a long awaited family road trip.
First stop: Lake Almanor, CA.
Tommy's friend from dental school, Andy, and his family have a BEAUTIFUL home right ON the lake. We were there one full day and enjoyed every minute of it. Brady took a 3 1/2 hour nap, which meant serious layout time for me and boating time for Tommy. It was such a great start to our vacation!











Second stop: Salem, Oregon.
Our good friends from dental school, Bryn and Brian and their son Con, just moved back to Salem. We are so thankful they let us be their first house guests. We stayed with them for a couple days, and enjoyed some time boating on the river.

Third stop: Lewiston, ID.
Just over 15 hours of driving later, we finally reached Lewiston to visit Zach and Leisha. We are so glad we finally got to see them and where they live. We enjoyed eating at several of their local restaurants, laying out by the river, going to see My Sisters Keeper (saddest movie ever!), taking Brady to the water park, and just relaxing at their cute little apartment. Oh and of course, meeting their famous dog, Charlie. Brady learned to say" Stay" and put his hand out whenever Charlie got excited and wanted to knock him over:)Thanks Z and L for letting us stay with you!!

Preparing for a long drive (13 hours) to Lake Tahoe...

Fourth and final stop: Lake Tahoe.
Ever since I can remember, my family and I have gone to Tahoe for the Fourth of July. We love the tradition and even more now that our family is growing. There was so much for Brady to do there, and he is at a great age to enjoy all of it. Thanks Whittemores for letting us stay at your beautiful home! We love it there!!!
































We had such a great trip!! Tommy started working in the office today. And for me...back to the real world of being a housewife and a mom:)
