Kinley:: 19 months

I thought this month needed it's own post.  Kinley has all of a sudden started talking like crazy! It has been so fun to interact with her and watch her talk with Brady. My favorite thing she has started saying is Love you. Actually it sounds more like lub you. But I love it.:) Whenever she does something, she says, "yay" and claps her hands. She counts to three. And loves when you say, Ready, Set...cause then she gets to say "GO". I love watching her trying to say new words. It's the best. Except, now she responds to my questions by saying, "NO". Yikes, this girl has some serious spice. Don't let her cuteness fool you ;)

She loves to do whatever Brady does. :)

Fun with our new water table!

Nana and Papa Visit

Tommy's parents were here the past week and a half. It was fun getting to be with them! Brady was SO excited and Kinley, was just one year old the last time they saw her. So she took a little time to warm up, but once she did, she was all in.
I love having visitors because we get to do things that we don't normally do. Especially here in Austin, where there is still LOTS we haven't done.
So we enjoyed eating out at a lot of really yummy restaurants, playing and riding the train at Zilker park, celebrating Brady's birthday, dinner at the Hasslers,  and lots of fun in our backyard.
Thanks for visiting Nana and Papa! We had a blast!!!

Kinley's First bracelet and necklace. She loves.

Miss Kinley is SO into books right now. She loves to sit on your lap and point at all the pictures.

Happy 4th Birthday Brady!!

YIKES!!! I feel like I am always saying that time goes by so fast, but really when it comes to my kids birthdays, I REALLY feel like time flies. I can vividly remember EVERY detail of the day he was born. Even the couple days leading up to his birth! And that was 4 years ago!
Brady has the biggest heart. He is immediately trying to help whoever feel better if they are sick or hurt. Humans and animals, oh and bugs! He never fails at asking a million questions a day, but I LOVE it. We have some of the greatest conversations. No doubt, he loves to play chase tag/hide and seek with Tommy...and they really do play every night when he gets home from work. He happily greets Kinley each morning with the cutest words, "Good morning sweet, hows my girl doing?".  He is truly an outdoor person. He loves to work outside with Tommy, with papa, or by himself. He loves to dig in the dirt, pull weeds, shovel dirt, catch bugs, water the flowers....I could go on. He flourishes outside.
Here are some questions I asked Brady, and wrote them down just as he said them.

The day of Brady's birthday, we just asked him what he wanted to do, and did that all day. His requests were to make pancakes with daddy, go to swim lessons, play outside, go to Mighty Fine (his favorite hamburger place here...actually all of our favorite), eat a Lightening Mcqueen ice cream cake, and open presents. Thats it! Done.

So Kinley didn't feel left out, nana and papa brought her a gift to open. It's a cute bunny:)

Happy 4th birthday sweet boy! We love you SO SO SO much!!!

He's Alive!

We enjoyed Resurrection Sunday, here in Austin, with our good friends, Kelly and Brian. We loved reading and explaining to the kids what palm Sunday is and the whole passion week up to Easter, and doing our best to communicate to them that Jesus died and rose again. All week, Brady made comments to me out of the blue, not when we were talking about it, like "Mom, Jesus rose again on the third day, not on the first day or the second day." And "Why did the soldiers want to kill Jesus?" And " I bet the nails in Jesus's feet and hands gave him big ouchies."

"The grave could not hold Him beyond the appointed time, and it shall not be able to hold us."

Palm Sunday. After church. Brady waving his palm:)

Love them.

Easter dinner at the Hasslers.

Kinley's new face. And she usually says, "WOOOOWWWW" or "WOAHHHHH". She was very into looking for eggs:)

Sweet boy. Loving the easter egg hunt.

Little girl

Before we had Kinley, my mind was so filled with boy stuff. Cars, trucks, dirt, bugs, sports, etc. SINCE having her, I've had to remind myself she's a little girl, and try to escape the boy mentality around her. Now that she is definitely developing her own little personality, I don't really have to force any of the girlie stuff on her. She naturally does it. Amazing how different boys and girls are. HOWEVER, don't get me wrong, I still catch her eating dirt, and one of her favorite things to do is play baseball outside with Tommy and Brady.
But here are some of the fun girl stuff she has been getting into by her self:)

She loves to play with my bracelets.

Blue Bonnet Field

It is officially spring around here. And today actually was more summer like, but being that its still actually March, I will still call it spring. And with spring comes the sprouting of all the wild flowers, as well as the Texas state flower, the blue bonnet. We came across a field of just blue bonnets and thought it would be fun to document the kids in such a great setting.

I love their little conversations.

This girl has some sass.
