Temecula & Mexico

A few months back, Tommy was invited by one of his close friends, Seth Cotter, to join him, Seths' dad, and 9 other men, to go on a golfing trip in Mexico. Let me preface this post with the fact that my husband has become quite fond of the game of golf, so an invitation to play 2 rounds of golf everyday, eat fantastic food, play on a special course that is considered to be the "Pebble Beach" of Baja California, and be in great company, got him very excited. Brady and I got to have a little vacation as well, while Tommy was in Mexico so everything worked out so great. Here are a few pictures of Tommy's golfing extravaganza : )

Tommy & Seth

Not a bad place to play golf, right?

The Marriot they stayed at

And while Tommy was enjoying the golfing, kid-less life, Brady and I got to spend a week with Tommy's cousin, Kelsey, and her family. She is married to Brandon and they have 2 kids, Mason, who is 14 months older then Brady, and Adalyn, who is 9 months. I wasn't able to take many pictures, as I was a "single mom" trying to make sure my child didn't escape my view or take toys from other kids: ) We did have a "main event" of the trip, where I was able to get some pictures. On Friday, we all got to spend the entire day at Disneyland/California Adventure. Seriously so fun. I love that place. And Brady had the time of his life. Really. When we went to Disney World almost 5 months ago, he had fun but was still pretty young to really get the whole ride thing. This time, he understood it all. And after every ride was over, he would look at me and say "Another one?" "Another ride?". Smiling the whole time, and surprisingly did very well standing in line. Here are just a few snapshots of our fun day at DisneyLand.

Great mix: DisneyLand and Southern California Sunshine.

On the Buzz Lightyear ride. Brady seriously in awe.

About to get in the submarine for the Finding Nemo ride

Brady and Kelsey's sister, Courtney.

Really neat ride.

In awe. again.

Loved the carousel. Or the "Horsie Ride".

Brady with Halle on the train ride.

Kelsey and sweet Adalyn.

Christmas and New Years 2009

Whew! Finally all the Christmas gifts are organized and put away. What a job!!! We had a great Christmas and New Years. The week before Christmas, Tommy's whole family was in Ukiah to celebrate a few days early. Brady was in heaven having so many cousins around to play with. We celebrated Christmas the night before Christmas Eve, with a yummy dinner, a gift exchange, and a reenactment of Luke 2, when Jesus was born. It was a fun night!
Christmas Eve day, we began our 5 hour trek to Fresno. We went to a night Christmas Eve service, followed by a filet mignon dinner at my parent's house. So good! We also had fun exchanging our secret santa gift. Christmas day was the best. Lazy morning, good breakfast, and watched way to much Lost. We headed over to my aunt and uncle's house for Christmas dinner and gift exchange. Such a great night being with family.
Over the course of the week we were in Fresno, we enjoyed some shopping (of course!), catching up with some great friends, and for me and Tommy....we enjoyed having multiple babysitters at any given time to watch Brady!!!
A couple days before New Years, my whole family drove to Tenaya Lodge, where we stayed for 3 nights. It was a blast! So much time to relax, play in the snow, get a massage and a facial, and bring in the New Year with my whole family. We had sooo much fun!

Nana gave all the grandchildren matching zip up sweatshirts.

Elaina and Brady had each other in the gift exchange. Elaina gave Brady this dog. Brady loves it.

When it says "hug me" Brady gives the dog a big squeeze :)

The men of the family.

Christmas with the Barringtons.

Christmas Eve at the Kraft's.

Kisses for Mimi.

Auntie Kaelyn gave Brady his first pair of real cowboy boots. He's sure to fit into Ukiah now :)

I love my sweet boy.

Our source of entertainment for the evening.

Papa and Brady.

Kaelyn gave me a set of dish towels that she hand stiched her self. I love them!

Brady got a plasma from Mimi and Papa. We heard "Ride, Ride" the whole time :)

And a new pair of rain boots.

This was Christmas Day at my Uncle Mike and Aunt Toots' house. My uncle is a police officer. Brady wanted to be one too:)

One of Brady's favorite gifts he got was a new tee with a bat and ball. He LOVES it!

Tommy and I got to meet up with our good friends from dental school, Adam and Melissa. We were pregnant at the same time and had our boys 1 week apart. It was so fun to catch up with them!!!

Here is Brady with their son, Hunter. Can't believe how big they are now!!!!!

I have a new found appreciation for iphone apps. Brady LOVES LOVES the app with all the animals and animal noises. We heard "Camel, Camel, Pig, Cow, Dolphin, Dog, Cat...." A LOT!

We also got to spend an evening with our friends Blake and Cherie Smittcamp and their daughter Aubrey Rose. As I do the math, we have gotten them together about every 6 months! Not nearly enough, but we'll take what we can get :) So fun to watch them grow together!

Upon arriving at Tenaya Lodge, Brady was quick to find the "Choo Choo". So much excitement.

Brady's first time in the snow and sledding. He had a blast. However he would call the snow "ice".

Of course he loved to eat the snow and Mimi was willing to help him out.

Tenaya Lodge.

Eating the "ice" again with Uncle Col Col.

New Years Eve dinner.

Love these 2.

Hamming it up :)

Everyone in the lodge on the last night. What a fun. trip.
