Christmas 2010

We had a lovely Christmas. Very low key and very fun. We stayed here in Ukiah and spent Christmas with Tommy's family. Since we weren't going to spend Christmas Eve in our own home, we did our own little traditions the night before. Tommy and Brady cooked a yummy breakfast for dinner, we finished reading the little books in our advent calendar, and opened one gift. Actually Brady opened one gift:) We got him his own set of "outdoor tools" {side note, we just purchased 6 acres of hill land here in Ukiah to eventually build a home on} since Tommy and Brady LOVE to work outside on our "new land". He loved them.

Christmas Eve we had dinner with Tommy's parents up at their house and then went to a candle light service at their church. After the service we came back and each of us got to open one gift and have some yummy dessert.

And then on Christmas day, we woke Brady up at 8:30 {I know...8:30 on Christmas?}...he must still not get the whole present thing;) We are blessed by my god parents who sent us and the kids some great gifts. So,we opened those as well as a gift from cousin A.J. to Brady. And then mimi and papa doc got Brady a pedal John Deere tractor. He LOVES it, and that's an understatement. So much fun to see so much joy from our little man.

After a morning of fun, we went up to Tommy's parents for a late breakfast and gift opening. It was POURING here, so it was so nice just to cozy up by the fire all. day.

ANd for dinner we headed up the hill to Uncle Jay and Auntie Kristi's house. We enjoyed fun family time, delicious food, and fun cousin gift exchange time. Really fun.

Above all, we tried to hammer home Jesus's birth. And that we open gifts to celebrate His birth. In our feeble attempt, we hope and pray he gets it.

What a wonderful Christmas. We are so so so blessed. ANd looking forward to a wonderful New Year celebration week with my family!

I really really love this picture. It was so sweet. We started to set it up and he just wanted to stare at Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus. Along with pushing the angel on top which sings away in a manger. I will for sure have that song stuck in my head for the next month:)
