This past week, Tommy had a little over a week off for spring break! We left San Francisco around 7:30 pm and drove through the night to Temecula, and arrived around 2:15 am. It was a long trip but easy with a baby who slept the entire way! We spent the next couple days with Tommy's grandma, which was so great because she got to meet Brady for the first time! We really enjoyed our time with her. Then on Sunday morning, Tommy left for Mexico, where he went on a mission trip with other dental students from UOP. He was so excited to be able to serve doing dentistry and being with little kids at an orphanage! So, yes...that meant I was unable to speak to him for an entire WEEK!!! It was hard but Brady and I were in GREAT hands with Tommy's cousins, who we stayed with for the week he was gone. Tommy's cousin, Kelsey and her husband Brandon, have a 2 year old son named Mason and are expecting a little girl, Adalyn, in June. They were so kind to open up their house to Brady and I!! We had so much fun and got to do so many fun activities...a day at the Wild Animal Park in San Diego, picnics at the park, we fed the ducks at the lake, a day at the pool, eating yummy frozen yogurt, taking walks around their neighborhood, had dinner with some friends, Mark, Kari, and Kelsey McElroy from Masters, Brady swinging on the swings (which he could do for HOURS), hanging out with Courtney (Kelsey's sister) and her fiance Johnny and Cara (Kelsey's other sister) and her husband Jerrod, and kids Bryce, Ella, and Halle, and enjoying good conversation and good food!!!
Brady just loves water! Here he is playing in the water fountain at Tommy's Aunt Debbie's
house.

Brady and Mason learning to share toys in the bath :)
Brady loved learning how to go down the slide!!

Brady and I on the tram at the Wild Animal Park!

All the kids loved watching the giraffes eat off the tree!!
Brady LOVED petting all the animals!!!
Brady got to meet his great grandma!!!

On the swings at the park...the only place he will stay still longer then 30 seconds!

Feeding the ducks...he is trying to say "duckies" but the only part the comes out is "kies" :)

Kelsey and I with Mason and Brady at the pool...the weather was so great!!

Brady has an extreme love for dogs, so of course he was so excited when we got to Kelsey and Brandons' to find out they have a dog! The whole week we heard "gie" (he kinda misses the dog part)

He was SO intrigued by the stairs, always wanted to climb up them!! He goes up fast but can't figure out how to get down. So I stood behind him and let him practice so he'll be ready for the stairs in our house in Ukiah:)
This is so great. We loved having you guys. We miss you tons and can't wait to see you this summer.
ReplyDeleteI loved the update! You are an amazing mom to do all of that in a week! It sounded like Tommy missed some fun stuff. I am sure he loved his week too and I bet he was so excited to see you guys when he got back. Miss you guys!
