College Football

I married a college football player. He has always loved playing, watching, and helping with coaching football. And since we were married, watching college football has always been something we have enjoyed doing together and with other people.
Since being here in Texas, and being here at the beginning of football season, I can say that I have never experienced anything like it. The hype of the game, especially game day, is really fun. And EVERYONE here loves it. And everyone has their favorite team, of course. Everyone is VERY loyal to their favorite.
We started out the weekend, with my brother who drove from Fort Worth, watching the TCU game at home. Then on Saturday, some friends of our wanted us to experience a UT tailgate, so we all drove to downtown, and enjoyed some good food and our first tailgate experience on UT's campus;)
Then on Sunday, some friends of ours wanted to take us to our first college football game, in Texas. So Tommy, Brady, our friends, and I drove 2 hours to College Station, TX for the Texas A&M vs. SMU game. It was CRAZY and really fun! So many people in maroon:)
We ate at a little local burger place, so did the rest of the A&M fans, before the game. Super fun! And we are SOOOO thankful to have met such great friends so fast. The Hasslers watched miss Kinley for us so we could really "enjoy" the game :)

Kinley's got her TCU purple on.:) And Brady is trained to say "GOOOO FROGS" :)

Yummy restaurant that I don't know the name of!!

So many people. So Brady rode on daddy's shoulders.

Yep, he had to sit on the John Deere. :)

Really fun!!!

Brady enjoyed a snow cone to cool off during the game!

A&M has a "famous" marching band. It was SO neat.

We are looking forward to many more college football games!!!! :)

Pet Store

While running errands yesterday, the kids and I made a pit stop at the pet store. Brady has always been an animal lover. And really has a unique way with them. Sounds weird, but any dog or cat he is around, they are drawn to him. It's pretty cute. And words wont do justice when I try to describe what Kinley does when she sees ANY animal, especially dogs. I'll try to explain. Think hi pitch squeal, rapid breathing, look at mom then look at animal a million times, finger pointing to the animal squealing "da-eeeeeeeeeeeee". To her every animal is a dog. SO, to the hamsters and birds at the pet store, sorry for the identity confusion. :)

I am NOT a cat person, but that one kitten was pretty cute. It just stared at kids.

A slide for dogs. Really?

Firehouse Fun

A few days ago, I met some girlfriends and their boys at a local firehouse. The firemen were SO nice to us and the kids. Brady was star struck. To him, it was like meeting someone famous. And he loved the firetruck, of course, and being the driver. The men put on their fire suits and taught the boys not to be scared if they ever saw them dressed that way. They turned the lights on along with the softer siren. The boys were in heaven. It was a fun morning.

Fun Weekend

We had a fun family weekend, this past weekend. Some friends of ours invited us to the circus on Saturday. It was downtown, at the UT arena. It was a blast. And I don't think I am ever going to get sick of going into downtown Austin. I LOVE it!
Brady loved the circus. His favorite part was the family of 7 who rode on motorcycles in the metal ball. It made the $12.00 cotton candy worth it ;)
And on Sunday, we went to a fairly new splash pad here in Cedar Park called Quarry Splash Pad. Amazing. Really beautiful and really fun for kids of all ages. And if there is one thing here, that there is not a shortage of, it's splash parks. They are everywhere. So fun.
